Bettina Funke is interested in space and matter in all their possibilities and is looking for the humorous and beautiful where it is least expected.

Bettina Funke (b. 1983) is based in Esslingen (DE). She graduated with an MA in art history from the university of Vienna (A) in 2011. From 2019 until 2023 she studied visual art with Johannes Brunner and Diemut Schilling and graduated with an MA in 2023 from Alanus Art School in Alfter (DE). 2020 she participated in Mara-Johanna Kölmels instagram exhibition Bunch of Kunst in Quarantine // Reflections On The Viral Vacuum and the virtual exhibition Bunch of Kunst in Quarantine // Paradox Paradise“ curated by Mara-Johanna Koelmel and Tina Sauerländer as part of Kara Agora, an online art and reserach center on Mozilla Hubs, funded by the European Cultural Solidarity Fund/ European Cultural Foundation.
